We're in the El Guardián area, inside Los Altos de Cerro Azul — about 45 minutes from Panama City, or 30 minutes from Tocumen International Airport. It's a paved road, no rental 4x4 needed to reach the cabin.
From Panama City, take Vía Tocumen as if you were heading to Tocumen International Airport. Keep going straight. (If you're landing at Tocumen, you'll start from here.)
Continue through the 24 de Diciembre residential area. You'll see supermarkets, shopping plazas, fast-food restaurants and clinics. Keep going straight.
Right before the road starts climbing the mountain, you'll pass a water park called FUCER on your left. It's the best visual landmark for this stretch.
Right after FUCER, you'll see a waste management company called GESVIL. Turn left there to start climbing the mountain.
It's roughly 9 miles (15 km) uphill on a well-paved, well-signed road. Along the way you'll see small villages, mini-marts, and occasionally a church. There are signs guiding you the whole way.
After the police checkpoint, it's about 20 more minutes to reach the entrance of the gated community of Los Altos de Cerro Azul. From there we'll send you final directions to the El Guardián area.
Once you're inside Los Altos, we'll send you the exact location of the cabin by WhatsApp. It's just a few minutes from the entrance.
Los Altos de Cerro Azul is a private, gated community with a security checkpoint. For you to get in on the day of your stay, we need to arrange access in advance.

This protects everyone who lives in or stays in the community, and it means only the number of guests you book for will be let in. There are no big supermarkets once you're up the mountain. We recommend stopping at Plaza Las Américas or 24 de Diciembre.
