Los Altos de Cerro Azul is a private, gated community with a security checkpoint. For your group to get in on the day of your stay, we need to arrange access in advance.

With that information, Nikki — the owner — clears your entry with the gate guard. This means only the guests you confirm with us can get through, which protects everyone who lives in or stays in the community. The number you book for is the number of guests who can enter.
Cabin El Quetzal (up to 6 guests) is $150 per night. Cabin El Tucán (up to 14 guests) is $250 per night. If you bring pets there's an additional $25 per night, per pet.

No. The main road to the cabin is paved and accessible by any regular car. You only need a 4x4 if you want to reach some waterfalls via off-road trails inside the park, but most waterfalls are reached on foot.
Yes, pets are welcome. There's an additional $25 per night, per pet. Please let us know when booking so we can coordinate.
The cabins have free WiFi. Cell signal in Cerro Azul can vary depending on your carrier, but the WiFi works well for calls and messaging apps like WhatsApp.
The cabins don't have a private pool, but guests have access to a shared pool within the area. There are also natural rivers and waterfalls just minutes away to cool off.
No. Linens, pillows and towels are included at both cabins. If you plan to use the pool or visit rivers, we recommend bringing your own beach towel.
Within Los Altos de Cerro Azul there are no large supermarkets or convenience stores nearby. We recommend shopping before heading up, at Plaza Las Américas or the stores in the 24 de Diciembre area. Bring everything you'll need.
The climate is cool year-round, between 61°F and 75°F (16°C–24°C). We're at about 2,870 feet (874 meters) above sea level, within the Chagres National Park region. Nights can be chilly, so bring a sweater or light jacket. Afternoon rain is common in the rainy season, same as the rest of the country.
